Characteristics of ASD

ASD is defined as a neurodevelopmental condition that comprises differences in social communication and interaction, together with restricted or repetitive behaviour and interest. In the original class lesson, the students identify three adjectives and they write independently, but in the adapted class lesson, the students are provided with a visual adjective word bank and utilise sentence frames. The main strategies include visual support, task chunking, predictable routines, clear instructions, processing time and sensory support.
