The role of healthcare professionals is significant in controlling such mental health disorder issues as it helps in improving productivity, reduction in hospital strain and better national wellbeing.

Methods and results

The data is collected from the local epidemiological data, ministry of Health reports, journal articles and the finding from the literature indicated that the early detection is possible through nursing led mental health screening. The effect of community out which programs along with digital tele health follow ups can also significantly contribute towards controlling the issue of mental health disorders. It is evaluated that the community level intervention is the best way to deal with the issue at lower cost.

Recommendations

It is recommended to perform the implementation of mandatory mental health screening in primary care. Also undertake the community nursing mental health outreach initiatives to inform as many patients as possible, and also enhance digital mental health support platforms.
