Security Planning Samples: International School Security Planning
Introduction
Risk management is highly essential for any type of building, and it is crucial in case of a new structure. In the given case scenario of International School at Jurong East, it is proposed to have two four storey buildings for foreign students. The appropriate management of risk requires a layered security approach in order to protect the students and other important assets within the premises. A complete risk assessment profile is performed as follows:
Risk assessment summary
An analysis of the risk profile indicates that the proposed building has a medium to high risk with major threats in the form of sabotage, theft, kidnapping, loss of data etc. It is also subject to certain vulnerabilities including open field areas, access of public to common areas etc.
Concept plan
This concept plan is aimed at achieving complete protection of the building and its stakeholders. The major areas of protection includes adjacent/perimeter protection, building perimeter protection, space and area protection and asset protection.
